Learning Environment – Child Care – 0 to 2 Years old
Our Childcare Centre (also called a long day care centre) offers quality education and care for children from six weeks to five years, for up to 10 hours per day. Qualified teachers and Early Childhood Educators guide, plan and support your child to be curious, capable and confident learners.
For babies and toddlers, our philosophy is to take a measured approach as they learn and explore the world at their own pace. We focus on developing a deep and trusting relationship with each child, partnering with families so that Phillip Island Early Learning Centre can become an extension of your home.
Your baby is discovering the world around them. The Gumnuts room provides a secure and comforting place where children are free to explore their world safely. We provide a caring environment, where relationships and strong bonds are formed between educators, children and their families. We try to incorporate home routines into our program to ensure a smooth transition for children into care. Our program is based on your child’s needs and interests to assist in each child’s emerging independence. Gumnuts staff create opportunities to promote early literacy skills in the children’s daily activities. Auslan sign language is used to support children’s emerging oral language development. We work closely with the Explorers Room at transition time, ensuring the move into the next phase of childcare is smooth and supported.
Monday to Friday from 7.30am to 5.30pm
